Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs were the living organisms that existed before humans and mammals. They were all reptiles, with scaly skin and they laid eggs.  The biggest question about dinosaurs is always, “Why aren’t they alive today?” Scientists might never know the answer, but one of the most common theories is that a meteor, that supposedly was larger than the moon, fell down to Earth and caused a giant earthquake. According to them, the earthquake caused a cloud of dust that killed all of the plants that the sauropods, etc. eat. Therefore, all of the plant eating dinosaurs languished, which also meant that the carnivorous dinosaurs died because they had no meat to devour. Then about a few thousand years later the climate suddenly got much, much colder. When dinosaurs were alive, in the super continent of Pangaea, the average weather was very hot, so if any dinosaurs survived the impact of the meteor, they probably froze to death.

Before the dinosaurs, most living organisms were amoebas or bugs. Eventually, those bugs and amoebas evolved into dinosaurs, which died, and then mammals came along and evolved into humans. Nobody knows what humans are going to evolve into.

Of course, this process takes millions of years, which (unfortunately) means that every person that is living in this very minute would not be alive by then (unless time travel is invented in the next 20 to 80 years).

Most dinosaurs appeared around 150 million years ago to 1 million years ago, until the big climate change affected the Earth. Dinosaurs may not be alive today, but paleontologists can still dig up fossils, or remains, of the dinosaurs. One may have stomped on the ground that you are be standing on. In fact, parts of dinosaurs are all around you, birds! Scientists have proven that dinosaurs have the same type of DNA that birds have. Birds could be the answer of what happened to the dinosaurs, and when revival technology is invented, maybe scientists could genetically remake dinosaurs!
